The POCO X3 India launch date has been made official thanks to a new listing for the smartphone on e-commerce brand Flipkart. The listing page shows POCO X3 launch date in India is September 22nd, with the event slated to start at 12pm. This listing comes just days after the handset’s India launch was teased by the POCO’s outgoing India head C Manmohan. Launched globally earlier this month, the new POCO X3 smartphone may be priced a little over Rs 20,000 in the Indian market, as per the teaser by Manmohan. To recall, the key POCO X3 specifications include a 120Hz display with punch-hole design, Snapdragon 732G gaming chipset, 64MP quad rear cameras, and 5,160mAh battery.
POCO X3 prices, specifications
Before we move on to the POCO X3 prices and specifications, it should be noted that the global version of this smartphone comes with NFC branding — its official name in the global arena is POCO X3 NFC. However, the Flipkart listing doesn’t mention NFC in the name, so it’s possible that the feature is either being dropped from the India variant or simply from the branding.
At the time of its Europe launch, the POCO X3 prices were announced as EUR 229 (about Rs 20,000) for 6GB + 64GB variant and EUR 269 (roughly Rs 23,500) for 6GB + 128GB option. Manmohan in a tweet had mentioned that the POCO X3 price in India will be Rs 20,000 + taxes, which should amount to a price tag of around Rs 25,000. This will, of course, only be for the base variant; the higher storage variant may cost a little more. It should be noted that the POCO X3 India variant may come with 8GB RAM option as well, so the price will be correspondingly higher.
As for the specifications, POCO X3 sports a 6.67-inch Full-HD+ display with a punch-hole positioned in the centre, Gorilla Glass 5 protection, and 120Hz refresh rate with dynamic switching. The smartphone is powered by the new 2.3GHz octa-core Snapdragon 732G chipset with Adreno 618 graphics, 6GB RAM, up to 128GB internal storage, and microSD card support for storage expansion. Of course, MIUI 12 based on Android 10 is also part of the package.
In the camera department, the POCO X3 smartphone comes with a 64MP + 13MP (ultra-wide-angle) + 2MP (portrait) + 2MP (macro) camera setup, with AI enhancements. In the front sits a 20MP selfie camera with f/2.2 aperture. Battery capacity of the handset is 5,160mAh, with support for 33W fast-charging. Other key features include Bluetooth 5.1, infrared, USB Type-C 2.0, side-mounted fingerprint sensor, IP53 rating for splash-proof design, and 9.4mm thick body.
